Growing Marijuana Outdoor Guide 2017

Outdoor Growing Guide For March 2017

March may seem too early for many people to begin thinking about this year’s Marijuana crop, but the key to a successful harvest is all in the planning. Although the days are not yet long enough, neither North or South, it’s never too soon to start planning this years bounty, and for a lot of people, this will be the first year they can legally grow Marijuana themselves, thanks to the amendments in many States laws.

One of the first considerations that needs to be addressed, is whether or not growing Marijuana is legal where you plan to grow, remember, even the more liberal States have rules and regulations that govern where, and the amount of plants that may be grown.

Marijuana seeds can be divided into three, distinct categories: Feminized, Regular and Autoflowering. Each has their own merits and advantages, depending upon what you wish to achieve. Selecting the correct type of Marijuana seeds is crucial in achieving a high quality, worthwhile harvest.

Feminized Seeds

Buying feminized marijuana seeds guarantees female plants. If you are going to grow a limited number of outdoor plants, you really want each plant to produce the most buds possible. As only female plants create buds and cola’s, it’s essential that you ensure each and every seed you germinate produces a high-quality, female marijuana plant capable of producing a healthy and heavy harvest.

Regular Seeds

Once extremely popular and common, regular marijuana seeds have decreased in demand, as feminized seeds have gained popularity, as regular seeds can generate either a male or female plant. Seed producers and breeders require the male pollen for fertilization and seed creation, while the average grower finds them a waste of time, money and effort. It should be noted that regular seed females make far superior clone mothers.

Autoflowering Seeds

Almost always feminized, autoflowering marijuana seeds produce buds and cola’s faster than other form of marijuana seeds, and regardless of the number of hours of darkness they receive. A perfect choice for the outdoor grower wishing to keep their plants discreet, while still producing a good yield of high quality buds. Auto seeds grow best the more light they receive, making them an ideal choice to grow throughout June and the Summer months, when the days are at their longest.

By the end of this month you should be germinating your seeds indoors, allowing them to slowly become established in preparation for planting outdoors next month. It’s important that the young seedlings receive as much light as possible, 18 hours of continuous light per day is recommended, so the addition of a CFC bulb or fluorescent lamp is necessary to ensure your seeds receive as many hours of light at this stage as possible.

Selecting the best strains to grow often depends on climate. In general, the more southern States are warmer, and the Summers slightly longer. Marijuana strains such as; Amnesia Haze, White Widow and Blueberry thrive in these warmer conditions, while more northerly growers find seeds such as Super Skunk, Strawberry Haze and OG Kush perform better due to their reduced flowering times.

Correctly germinating your seeds can make the difference between a healthy plant and a dead seed. Outdoor Growing Guide For April 2017

Outdoor Growing Guide For April

Outdoor Growing Guide For April 2017

April sees an increase in temperature and daylight time, with Northern States receiving an average of thirteen hours of sunlight per day, rising to around fourteen hours by the end of the month. Temperatures are still relatively cool, fluctuating between 35 – 62 degrees from night to day. Southerly States are slightly warmer, averaging between 55 – 84 degrees, with a shorter daylight time of approximately twelve-and-half hours per day, rising to an average of thirteen hours by the end of the month.

If you germinated your seeds indoors towards the end of March, they should now be sprouting and producing their first sets of small leaves. As the days lengthen towards the end of April, you will no longer need to provide your seedlings with additional, artificial light. Placed outdoors during the day, the young seedlings will begin to receive all the sunlight and fresh air they require for healthy, vigorous growth.

Outdoor growers in more northern States may need to bring their plants indoors for the first few weeks to avoid any last frosts that may occur, damaging and even killing your young seedlings overnight.

If you haven’t already bought your Marijuana seeds, you need to purchase them as soon as possible, or risk delaying and reducing your final harvest. We offer a selection of the finest seeds and strains, in both Regular and Feminized form.

If you are growing a limited number of plants, it’s important that each one is capable of producing a heavy, healthy yield of high quality buds. Feminized Marijuana seeds ensure that each ‘bean’ you purchase will germinate, creating a 100% pure female plant with the buds and cola’s you expect. A great choice for most growers, and perfect for beginner and novice gardeners.

Alternatively, Regular Marijuana seeds are usually required by seed producers, breeders and ‘cash-crop’ commercial growers. Regular seeds can produce either a male or female plant, perfect for producing your own seeds. Female plants grown from regular seeds also make the very best and most stable clone mothers, so if you want to take cuttings and make your own clones, you should consider buying regular seeds.

As the end of the month approaches you may want to check-out the various strains of Autoflowering Marijuana seeds available. Fast and easy to grow, Auto seeds are the perfect choice for growing outdoors from the middle of May through the Summer months, and require only eight weeks on average to completely grow, flower and fully mature.

Once germinated and established, autoflowering seeds can be planted outdoors and harvested as soon as the end of June, if you have bought their seeds in advance. Get yourself an early crop this year, and enjoy your own Marijuana in the middle of Summer when regular and feminized seeds haven’t even begun to pre-flower yet.

Outdoor Growing Guide For May

Outdoor Growing Guide For May 2017

It’s May, Spring is in full swing and it’s getting warmer by the day, even the most northern States such as Alaska are coming out of their freezing night-time frosts. The average temperatures range between 52 – 72 degrees, night to day, and your marijuana plants are enjoying between fourteen to fifteen-and-half hours of warm, outdoor sun as the month progresses.

More southerly growers are already enjoying a warmer climate, with average temperatures between 60 – 87 degrees and thirteen to fourteen hours of sunlight per day.

Your once small marijuana seedlings are now beginning to grow rapidly, developing lateral branches and large fan leaves to absorb as much natural sunlight and air as possible. In all but the very coldest parts of Alaska, your plants can now be left permanently outdoors throughout the night.

Growth over the coming month will depend on the type of marijuana genetics you decided to buy.  From the end of May, Sativa dominant plants begin to grow and develop very quickly, gaining several inches per week. Indica dominant plants don’t grow as tall as their Sativa cousins, preferring to remain shorter and more ‘bush-like’ in appearance. Selecting the right type of seeds for your garden will avoid any height issues or concerns.

May is the perfect time to germinate those Autoflowering seeds you purchased back in April. If you didn’t, then the clock’s ticking, and you really need to buy some autoflowering seeds to generate a Summer harvest. Autoflowering seeds produce their very best harvest when given as many hours of light as possible. Unlike regular and feminized seeds, exposure to flashes or constant light sources do not damage the flowering cycle, as these seeds will flower and mature under any number of light hours, the more the better in fact.

As the end of May approaches your autoflowering seeds need to be germinated and ready for planting outdoors ready to enjoy the longer day’s ahead during late May, June and July. Don’t leave it too late, or you will miss the major growing period for these seeds. Buy your autoflowering seeds at the beginning of the month to ensure they arrive in plenty of time for planting.

Planting your marijuana seedlings outdoors during the longer, warmer days in May gives your plants the perfect start, allowing them plenty of time to naturally grow and develop, taking full advantage of the improving weather and conditions. During this period not only will the plant grow taller, but it’s rooting system will also develop rapidly to supply it with all the necessary nutrients and minerals it requires for rapid, vigorous growth.

Large pots are important, allowing plenty of space for the roots to grow and deveop, planting your seedlings into small pots will lead to reduced growth, or the need to re-pot the plants later in the Summer as the roots become pot-bound.

Ensure you keep the soil moist, watering when necessary, but never drown the roots, too much water can be just as bad for your plants as too little. Food and feeding schedules also play an important part in the plants development, and administering a small amount of correct marijuana nutrient can make a large difference at this stage, resulting in enhanced growth and a healthy rooting system.

One of the best ways to ensure a vibrant healthy crop is to purchase the complete grow kit from I Love Growing Marijuana. Outdoor Growing Guide For June

Outdoor Growing Guide For June 2017

June, and Summer is soon underway. The long sunny days are perfect for growing Marijuana plants outdoors, and they thrive in the fresh, natural air and warmer climate. Average daylight time increases to between fourteen-fourteen-and-half hours per day for growers in the South, and between almost fifteen – sixteen hours per day in the north.

During the second-half of the month your plants will be at full growth, stretching and growing on a daily basis. The longest daylight hours are between 18th – 24th June, and with the warmer temperatures, your plants will enjoy the ideal climate for rapid vegetative growth.

Both regular and feminized marijuana are dependent upon an even, uninterrupted cycle of at least twelve hours per day to begin flowering. The change in the number of hours of sunlight the plants receive, activates a chemical change within the plant’s metabolism that induces flowering. During both vegetative and flowering growth, the plant requires a variety of nutrients and minerals, specifically designed to nourish the plant throughout both it’s growing and flowering stages.

Providing your plants the correct feeds, at the correct quantities and when they need it most is vital is producing healthy, vibrant plants, and for many new growers knowing which nutrients, and at what strength’s to use, can often come down to receiving good, or bad advice.

You can take all the guesswork away from feeding your plants by using the Flower Power nutrient set from I Love Growing Marijuana. This complete, four-part set supplies the correct formula’s to your plants just when they need it most, and during this rapid growth phase of June, they will need additional nutrient supplements to achieve their very best potential.

Incorrect feeding, over-feeding or a lack of nutrients will all have a detrimental effect on your crop, reducing the overall quality and quantity of your harvest. Knowing when and how much to feed them is vital in maintaining maximum growth levels, and together with yield enhancing techniques such as supper-cropping, bending and topping, can make a huge difference to your total yield later in the year.

Correct information and advice, clearly explaining all the stages of the plants development, including how to grow bigger and heavier buds, can all be downloaded totally free of charge and referred to time-and-time again. The Autoflowering seeds you previously germinated and planted outdoors towards the end of May, are now growing and producing their first white flowers, even though the plants are still only quite small. Autoflowering seeds are unique, and flower regardless of the number of hours of darkness they receive, making them the perfect choice over the Summer months.

The more daylight these small plants receive, the larger the plants grow and buds become, so June is the ideal month for them to grow. If you haven’t already germinated and planting your Auto’s, you had better get them outside soon, especially in more Northern States where the Fall begins early.

Alternatively, living in more central and southern States means that the Summer starts earlier and lasts longer. If you planted your autoflowering seeds at the end of April – start of May, they will be looking rather healthy and robust by now, growing taller by the day and producing more flowers and budding sites.  The longer growing season not only allows for a harvest earlier in the year than more northern States, it also affords growers the opportunity of multiple harvests over the Summer, by staggering the planting.

As autoflowering seeds are governed by age to reach maturity, and not a photo-period, they will all require approximately the same amount of time to grow and mature, ready to harvest after between ten – twelve weeks from germination, or eight weeks from the seedling becoming established.

Planting an additional few seeds every couple of weeks will produce a sustained harvest from late July through to early October, offering a wide selection of tastes and high’s to enjoy until your main crop matures.

Outdoor Growing Guide For July 2017

USA Cannabis Seeds

Outdoor Grow Guide For July July is on average the hottest month of the year with Southern States basking in temperatures between 65 -93 degrees on average. Even Northern States warm up to between 58 – 85 degrees, allowing plenty of warm sunshine to nourish your plants.

Long sunny days of between 16 – 18 hours in the North and thirteen and half – fourteen and half in the South, keep the plant in it’s vegetative stage, resulting in huge growth and development throughout the month.

If you have bought the correct feeding boosts, your schedules will explain how, when and what quantity of feed to use to ensure maximum effect. Yield enhancing techniques should be fully utilized at this stage to produces stronger branches, capable of producing multiple buds and plenty of main, lateral cola’s.

If you germinated and planted autoflowering seeds back in late May, they will be flowering profusely, generating a thick dense cola in many cases. If you bought the Super Skunk autoflowering seeds and planted them around the middle of May, they will be fattening up well and beginning to change color as maturity approaches. With a total of forty-eight days needed from the seedling becoming established to harvest, July will be your first harvest of the year.

Living in more Southern States affords a longer Summer, allowing plenty of time before the start of the Fall. Although the days begin to get slightly shorter towards the end of July, there is still plenty of sunlight and daylight hours left to produce yet another autoflowering crop. Requiring less than twelve weeks from germination to completely grow, flower and mature, you still have time for one more crop.

Bugs, pests and spider mites are the bane of the outdoor Marijuana grower, and can devastate your plants and entire crops very quickly. Root infections and infestations can also attack your plants, causing a reduced yield or even killing the plant entirely.

If you purchased one of the complete grow kits, it contains three specific formulas designed to help protect and repair your plants from bugs, root infections and mold. Mix the correct amount of formula with water, and spray your plants liberally, covering all areas, especially the underside of the larger fan leaves. Repeat after a few days to kill any remaining bugs or root bacteria.

The complete Plant Protection system is also available for purchase separately and is supplied with free, guaranteed delivery to all parts of the USA. Don’t wait until it’s too late and the bugs or spider mites have taken hold, prevention is far better than cure.

Buying the Plant Protection system will ensure your plants are safe from many of the common problems faced by outdoor growers, and with so many ounces of the finest, highest quality marijuana buds at stake, do you really want to take the risk for the sake of a few dollars spent on protection?

Outdoor Growing Guide For August 2017

USA Cannabis Seeds

Outdoor Grow Guide For August August, the middle of the Summer, sunny days from dawn ’till dusk and increasing hours of darkness as the month slowly draws to a end. For many people it’s holidays and day’s off work relaxing and socializing with friends, it’s a good job you planted those autoflowering seeds back in early Spring, the buds will be mature in the early weeks of this month, offering a mouth-watering selection of tastes, high’s and aroma’s.

During the beginning of the month your feminized and regular plants will still be in their main vegetative stage, growing and developing profusely. The shoots will stop sprouting outwards from the main-stem in symmetrical two’s, and instead, begin to stagger up the main stem, as well as along the lateral branches, ready to form cola’s.

Northern States still enjoy long hours of sunshine, with daily averages at the beginning of the month between fifteen hours, decreasing to approximately thirteen hours by the end of the month. Temperatures range between 58 – 84 degrees, day-to-night on average.

Southern States have warmer temperatures, usually between 65 – 95 degrees day-night on average, but enjoy less hours of natural daylight, with around fourteen hours at the start of the month, reducing to just under thirteen hours by the end of the month, just on the cusp of activating the flowering process.

Bugs and mites are prevalent in many areas at this time of year, so be extra vigilant and inspect the undersides of leaves, looking for any signs of nutrient deficiencies before they become a concern. It’s natural for the plant to shed leaves, especially those from the lower and underside of the canopy and isn’t cause for alarm.

However, any discoloration on the upper leaves and shoots is often a warning sign that all is not well, and should be investigated further. Refer to the chart below for many of the most common issues and deficiencies.

Marijuana Nutrient IssuesUnfortunately, an overdose of one particular nutrient can often lead to the plant displaying the signs of a lack of another, especially when too much Nitrogen is given to the plant. The best advice regarding feeding is that if you started with a good quality soil, many of the nutrients are already embedded, adding more won’t produce healthy, vibrant plants, only harm them.

Always follow the advice given on the nutrients you use, often reducing the quantity slightly. Or guarantee yourself the best nutrients, feeding schedules and advice available by purchasing the Flower Power complete nutrients pack, containing enough feed for twenty large, outdoor plants, from germination to harvest, better safe then sorry!
Cannabis Seeds Nutrients On Sale NowUnfortunately both the temperature in the North and daylight hours in the South are now against us in our multiple autoflowering seeds harvests, and after the first weeks, it’s too late in the year to plant anymore auto’s outdoors, and expect a healthy, worthwhile crop.

However, those we planted back in Spring, and at regular intervals since, are now beginning to mature and are ready to harvest, many from the start of the month. Remember, autoflowering seeds don’t rely on the reduction of daylight hours to ripen, maturity is built into their genetic, biological clock, and will occur naturally, regardless of the amount of hours of daylight or darkness it receives, and now they are ready!!

Harvesting is an important part of the growing process, and although it’s vital that you get it right to achieve maximum quality for yourself, or others for ‘cash-crop’ growers, many growers feel once the plant is cut, their work is done, and leave it to dry.

There is so much more to harvesting then just cutting the branches and letting them dry, and that’s what separates the average grower from the true professional. It’s not just about how closely you trim and manicure, nor how you dry. It’s the complete package, making bubble-hash, butter and lower-grade, ‘day-time’ smoke from your trim, to correct curing to achieve maximum flavor and effect.

Getting the very best from your plants at harvest is a skill, an art. You can take a steep learning curve and become a professional quickly, by learning the techniques and methods used by commercial, Amsterdam growers here in one simple download. Click below to learn more.

Outdoor Growing Guide For September 2017

USA Cannabis Seeds

Outdoor Grow Guide For September

September, and Fall officially begins towards the end of the month. The temperature is slowly decreasing with averages between 54 – 76 degrees in the North and 64 – 89 degrees in the South. Although many of the Southern States aren’t yet cold, the reducing daylight time is a clear indication that the Fall is on it’s way.

Over the course of the month, Southern States will see a reduction in daylight time from an average of thirteen hours per day, to twelve, and Northern States reduce from just over thirteen hours per day, down to below twelve.

Unlike the Autoflowering plants that have been growing, flowering and maturing over the last few weeks, providing a good, steady harvest of high quality buds, the feminized and regular seeds planted back in Spring are now beginning to flower and build up their budding sites.

Reducing the daylight hours activates a chemical change within the marijuana plant’s genetics, altering their behavior and growth pattern. At approximately 12/12 light-dark hours per day, the plants will begin to flower and indicate their sex.

For those growers that purchased feminized seeds, pre-flowering and sexing isn’t a concern, as each of the marijuana seeds you planted is guaranteed to produce female-only flowers. Regular seed growers may be raising either male or female plants though, and will have to identify which of their plants are male and which female.

Keep the males and females separate at this stage, even if you wish to create your own seeds, as the female flowers are too young and immature to be fertilized and produce a healthy batch of seeds. Growers who purchased one of the complete kits, or the Flower Power nutrient sets will move from vegetative feeds to the flowering compounds to boost bud production. See all our Cannabis seeds for sale.

If you have not considered boosting your plants with a correct marijuana nutrient, now is an ideal time to start. As flowering begins, the plant’s needs alter, and different minerals and nutrients are required by the plant for healthy, vigorous flowering. Adding an additional boost of these vital elements can seriously increase the overall weight and quality of your buds, easily repaying the small outlay.

Damp, moist air and cooler night-time temperatures are the ideal climate for mold and bud rot. Developing deep inside the middle of the largest buds first, bud rot can devastating entire plants in a matter of a few days. Unfortunately, as the month rolls on, the bigger and more swollen the buds become, and the greater the chance of rain and moisture remaining in the buds, providing the ideal conditions for rot to begin.

Buds that have been attacked by mold and rot must never be smoked. Mold is a spore and it can travel through a joint, and even smoke, entering the lungs and cause an infection. Prevention is the only way to stop bud rot attacking your plants and for that we recommend using the  Anti-Mold formula in the Plant Protector set.

Mixed into a spray and administered to the plants during mid-late flowering, this preventative formula will protect your plants from many of the common bacterial spores that infect the buds causing mold issues. If you are growing outdoors and your plants may come into contact with cooler, moist air during the evening and night-time, protect them or lose them, and after all these months of growing, why take the risk?

Alternatively, if you are growing your marijuana in pots, you may wish to consider bringing them indoors if they aren’t too big, or build them a temporary cover or shelter to protect them from the moist air.

Some of the fast finishing strains such as Super Skunk and Strawberry Kush require less than fifty days to fully flower and mature, and will soon be ripe and ready for harvest. There is no set day for harvest, each plant matures depending on it’s conditions, and although all the seeds from each particular strain are uniform and stable,  slight variations do occur, and understanding that degrees of ripeness affect the overall high and effects from the buds, is all part of the growing process.

Outdoor Grow Guide For October

October and the end of the outdoor marijuana growing season for another year. Northern temperatures are between 46 – 64 degrees and the daylight time has reduced down to approximately ten hours by the end of the month. All of the plants should be flowering profusely by the start of the month, and mature over the first few weeks. The cooler, moist air may cause mold and bud rot issues if Plant Protectors or shelter hasn’t been provided.

If you have followed this growing guide month by month, you should be facing large trees and bushes of prime quality marijuana buds ready for harvesting. Don’t rush now, care is needed to cut and manicure those buds and branches to their maximum potential.

Marijuana Plant Protector Set

Marijuana Plant Protectors - Complete Set

Stop Spider Mite, Mold and Root Diseases

Whether you are new to growing Marijuana, or an experienced veteran, growing indoors, or outside, all growers face the same common problems from time to time. Bugs such as Spider Mites can arrive from nowhere, the roots can begin to rot, and mold can appear overnight. These problems can devastate your crop, ruin the buds and plants, and possibly even make you ill. Once you realize your plants have a problem it can often be too late to stop at least some damage and reduction to your final yield and quality, and so we recommend preventing these problems, rather than relying on a cure.

The Marijuana Plant Protector set has been specifically developed to prevent, and where possible, cure many of the common pests and diseases that attack Marijuana and Cannabis plants. Missing the early ‘tell-tale’ signs of an infestation or disease will allow it to escalate, and without the correct action, can destroy your crop very quickly. The three formulas that make-up the Marijuana Plant Protector set are designed to work together, helping to form a protective barrier around your plants, its buds and rooting system.

Sold as a complete set of three individual compounds, containing enough formula to protect twenty large plants through their complete life cycle, with each protector applied at different times of the plants life. You can buy all three Marijuana Plant Protectors as a complete set, or receive them as part of the Complete Grow Sets.

Kill Spider Mite – Bug Blaster

Stop Spider Mite With Bug BlasterThe special formula contained within the Bug Blaster contains Pyrethrum and Cinnamite and unlike more commercially well-known Spider Mite solutions, will not harm your leaves, flowers or buds. Designed to kill all unwanted bugs, including Spider Mites, Thrips, Aphids and White Fly, the Bug Blaster can be easily applied using any conventional plant spray bottle.

The Bug Blaster formula will prevent all of the common Marijuana bugs from attacking your plants, and can be used both indoor and outside. Although best used as prevention, as it contains an added foliage feed to strengthen the plants immune system, Bug Blaster can also kill infestations that have occurred, even if it has not been previously applied.

Bug Blaster is quick and easy to use, with enough formula in each bottle for several applications. Simply dissolve a cap full from the Bug Blaster bottle into a l Lt plant sprayer and fill with water. Set the nozzle to a fine mist and spray the plant from top to bottom, paying particular attention to the underside of the leaves, where they lay their eggs and predominately stay.

If your plants are already suffering from a Spider Mite or other bug infestation, repeat the process after five days to kill the newly hatched bugs before they mature and begin to lay eggs themselves. For healthy, uninfected plants, repeat the process every ten days – two weeks to protect your plants and prevent these problems from occurring. Plants should be sprayed at the end of the light cycle for maximum effect.

Stop Bud Rot – Mold Control

Stop Bud Rot With Mold ControlMold control is a specially formulated solution designed to combat Marijuana leaf and bud diseases including; Botrytis, Powdery Mildew, Leaf Septori and rust. Mold or bud rot can devastate an entire crop in a matter of days, often appearing just before complete maturity when the buds are at their largest.

Extremely hard to spot until it has fully taken hold, diseases such as Botrytis, or bud rot, are best prevented as they are impossible to cure, and difficult to stop once set in, with the only option to cut away all the infected buds and areas, and harvest the buds as soon as possible. Never smoke moldy buds, they contain mold spores which can make you ill, make you short of breath, and often leave you with a chest infection.

To prevent these problems with your plants, spray them with Mold Control approximately half-way through their flowering period. The formula contains neem oil, and potassium bicarbonate, as well as other active ingredients, designed to prevent most forms of mold and fungus from developing.

One cap of Mold Control should be dissolved into a 1 liter plant spray bottle and applied to the plants as a fine mist, at the start of their ‘dark’ period. One bottle contains enough for several applications, or up to fifty indoor plants.

Prevent Disease – Root Protector

Stop Plant Diseases With Root ProtectorMany new growers fail to spot when harmful bacteria has ‘built-up’ and begins attacking the roots. For many the first signs are a slowing down in the growth, poor, limp leaves and a general discoloring, and in extreme cases the plant will wilt, wither and die.

There are several common root diseases including; Pythium, Fusarium, Botrytis, Alternaria and Phomopsis, all attack the plant from the roots upwards, and left untreated, will severely reduce your yield and quality. The Root Protector’s specially formulated solution contains elements to combat these diseases, including, Streptomyces Griseoviridis, a friendly form of bacteria that remains close to the plants roots, feeding off the unwanted, harmful bacteria forming a protective barrier.

Easy to apply, a cap of Root Protector should be dissolved into a liter of water, and the solution applied evenly around the base of the plants. Clean, fresh water should then be applied to thoroughly flush the solution around the roots. Best results are obtained when the Root Protector is added at the start of the light period. The Root Protector solution can also be added to hydroponic tanks to assist in root rot prevention.
